Setting Up Phoenyx

Important: Phoenyx has only ONE button

Phoenyx uses a single button to:

  • turn ON
  • turn OFF
  • wake up when unplugged

The lights tell you what Phoenyx is doing.

Light Guide

(look at the bottom of the box)

  • No lights → Phoenyx is completely OFF
  • 🔴 Blinking red light → Phoenyx needs charging
  • 🟠 Orange lights → Phoenyx is charging
  • 🔵 Only blue lights & unplugged → Phoenyx is sleeping. Press the button TWICE and wait ~2 minutes.

⚠ If Phoenyx is plugged in and you only see blue lights, press the button ONCE to start charging Phoenyx.

⚠ Phoenyx only works when unplugged.

How do I connect Phoenyx to WiFi?

  1. Make sure Phoenyx is unplugged from charging
  2. Press the button twice to turn Phoenyx ON
  3. Open the app
  4. Tap Settings (bottom right)
  5. Go to Bluetooth
  6. Wait until you see Phoenyx and tap Connect
  7. Enter your WiFi name and password carefully

⚠ Double-check your WiFi name and password before submitting.

How long does setup take?

Setup usually takes about 2 minutes.

Phoenyx will make a small sound once connected.
After that, wait another ~30 seconds and say:

“Hey Phoenyx”

Phoenyx should respond 😊

Do I need to connect to WiFi every time?

No. Phoenyx remembers previously connected WiFi networks and reconnects automatically.

You only need to reconnect if:

  • you change WiFi networks
  • you switch to another child’s profile

Using Phoenyx

How do I start a conversation?

  1. Press the button twice to turn Phoenyx ON
  2. Wait about 2 minutes for startup
  3. Say:

“Hey Phoenyx”

You’ll hear a sound when Phoenyx is ready.

How do I know Phoenyx is listening?

Once activated, Phoenyx stays active for about 10 minutes after last interaction.

If Phoenyx turns off:

  • press the button once again
  • wait for startup sound
  • say “Hey Phoenyx”

How do I turn Phoenyx OFF?

Press the button once.

Wait until ALL lights are OFF before moving or charging Phoenyx.

Can Phoenyx work without internet?

No. Phoenyx needs WiFi to have conversations.

If WiFi disconnects during a conversation, Phoenyx will try reconnecting automatically.

Switching Between Kids

Can multiple kids share Phoenyx?

Yes 😊

Each child needs their own profile in the app.

How do I switch to another child?

  1. Open the app
  2. Select the other child’s profile
  3. Go to:
    Settings → Bluetooth
  4. Connect Phoenyx again
  5. Enter WiFi password if prompted
  6. Wait for the confirmation sound
  7. Turn Phoenyx OFF and ON again using the button

Troubleshooting

Phoenyx is not showing up in Bluetooth

Try these steps:

  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
  • Move within 1–2 meters of Phoenyx
  • Make sure Phoenyx is ON (lights visible)
  • Make sure Phoenyx is unplugged from charging
  • Make sure battery is not empty
  • Close and reopen the app

Phoenyx connected but is not responding

Wait about 30 seconds after the connection sound.

Phoenyx may still be finishing setup.

If it still does not respond:

  1. Press the button once to turn Phoenyx OFF
  2. Wait until ALL lights are OFF
  3. Wait 10 seconds
  4. Press the button once to turn it back ON
  5. Wait ~2 minutes before saying “Hey Phoenyx”

Phoenyx cannot hear my child

Make sure:

  • Phoenyx has fully started
  • your child is close to Phoenyx
  • there is not too much background noise

If needed, restart Phoenyx.

Nothing is working

A full restart fixes most issues.

  1. Press the button once to turn Phoenyx OFF
  2. Wait until ALL lights are OFF
  3. Wait 10 seconds
  4. Press the button once to turn Phoenyx ON
  5. Wait about 2 minutes
