Phoenyx talks with your child. Here is exactly what it does, what it doesn't do, and what you decide.

Phoenyx never starts the conversation
It wakes up when your child presses the button, and that is the only thing that wakes it up. There is no timer, no schedule, and no way for Phoenyx to call out to your child on its own. When a conversation ends, the toy goes back to sleep until someone presses the button again.

Conversations end on their own
A session lasts twenty minutes at most. At nineteen minutes Phoenyx says it needs a nap soon, so the ending never comes out of nowhere. And if nobody has said anything for five minutes, it ends early and the toy goes to sleep.

Your child's voice isn't saved unless you turn it on
Phoenyx has to hear your child in order to answer. Keeping those recordings is a separate decision: it is off by default, you make it for each child, and you never have to turn it on to use Phoenyx. If you turn it on and change your mind, switching it off deletes what was saved.

If you do turn recording on, here is who can listen
Saved recordings are stored privately and can be heard only by authorised people on our team, who listen to check that Phoenyx understood a child correctly and to make it better at it. Not advertisers, not other families.
You can turn it off whenever you like, and that deletes what was saved.

Stories and songs come from a library we wrote
Every story and song Phoenyx plays is a recorded file we wrote and reviewed before it shipped. Phoenyx chooses from that library — it cannot invent a story on the spot.

You can read every conversation
The parent app shows you what was said. You can delete any conversation — it disappears straight away, and its text is scrubbed from our systems within about thirty days.
Deleting one conversation doesn't erase the progress your child made in it. To withdraw everything, delete the child's profile: that revokes voice consent and stops any further processing.

We don't sell your child's data
Not to anyone, for any price. We don't use it for targeted or behavioural advertising either, and nothing your child says is ever made public. That's in our privacy policy, not just on this page.

No screen, no feed, nothing to scroll
Phoenyx is a plush toy with a speaker and a microphone. There is no screen on it, no video, no feed and nothing to swipe. The parent app is for you, not for your child.
